0I have had the same experience but this time it happened on a secured website, while I was checking my bank account a pop up came up with the logo of the same bank website and I trusted as I it was https which I was told s stands as secure. it was about a customer satisfaction survey and I answered the survey at the end of questiones they congradulated me and gave me two gift opetions to choose; anti wrinkle cream or slimming tablet ( acai) and I chose the slimming tablet and had only pay for the postage as it was meant to be only the sample. I stupidly trusted and give my credit card details and straight away the window disapeared once got my card details with no confirmation which you normally get after any online purchase. that gave me a buzz this might be an scam. it was an scam, these people call this a Buisness??? how politely and cleverly took money off people’s bank??? yes, after two weeks I noticed they took £75.00 off my account plus the p&P they originally took for sending the sample. there was no contract no terms and condition. that is stealling no matter how? I call this dirty business!!! I have already informed the trading centre, dispute department, the Police and the bank and will warn whoever I know about this company.

0Be careful this company posted a comment by a friend of mine on facebook about how she had used this product and thought it was great. It made me interested because I trust the friend only to find that her account had been hacked and she had not posted the info about the trial. Clever eh? Luckily I asked her first – but nearly got caught by the scam.

0I too have been scammed of £278 i have just rang company to cancel order and they reckon they are paying £82 back to me. I also rang credit card company to stop any further payments to them. Credit card company told me i must keep the email confirming cancelation so they can claim back any payments they try to take. Im so angry with myself for falling for this bloody scam !
Review by Jane Barrie, March 4, 2010
0SO annoyed didn’t see the reviews until after paid online for Acai pills. Luckily realised as soon as the payment page came up that somehting was dodgy:
- It had what would appear on my bill (£0.95)
- underneath this it had only half of the line visible, but I could see it said £33.00 (or something) – ALARM BELLS…
Googled it and came across these reviews.. Thank god didn’t order the colon cleanse too!! Cancelled my order, received a number, alerted the back and am now just waiting to see if I get scammed.. So upset as getting married in 3 months, thought I was doing myself a favour, but have just given myself something else to worry about!!
They are not legally allowed to take money from my account now that I have cancelled the contract within the 15days, that would be breach of their own contract – surely??
I don’t understand why they can do that? Reminds me of the gym!!
What a nightmare… Would have been easier to take a walk X

0Hi was conned by these people and have had two transactions taken from my account for €85 each, just can’t afford to lose €170 I intend to keep trying to get the money refunded have been on to my bank but they said I agreed to the transactions there has to be a way to get these con artists its totally illegal, they can’t be above the law
Review by Fiona, February 15, 2010
0One more to add to the ever growing list. I too have been scammed by these people. So far £150 of my very hard earned money has gone and my dear bank cannot assure me it won’t happen again as they say I agreed to the terms and conditions and I have to dispute it with the bank first. If they take any more money in the meantime thats my fault. So much for helpful banking. I am sure not SMILE’ing now…The saga continues. is there anything else we can do?

1BEWARE BEWARE do not buy from anyone offering free trials they will rip you off for £100s before you even realise whats happening, credit card companies can do nothing to help until you have written confirmation you have cancelled order by which time they have helped themselves to £120 for each pot of 60 capsules which are actually worth pennies.this mistake has cost me £300 so far with another £360 pending

0I also nearly got caught out with this scam, i ordered the acai berry and colon cleanser on 2nd Feb.A couple of hours after ordering when i realised it was a scam i rang the number on the website.I spoke to a guy who i had trouble understanding as apparantley i had called a third party call centre in phillipines via a uk number.I told him to immediately cancel my orders,he asked “why”? I told him because they were scamming people,he said” ok no problem”.Gave me confirmation numbers and also sent me an e mail confirming it was cancelled.Next day i went to my bank and cancelled my visa debit card, they also told me to call the bank’s fraudulent card number, and explain the situation to them as they can totally block your card and that if anyone tries to take money of the card they mark it down as fraud and report it to the police. When i called they knew all about these companies.I just called the number that was on my e mail 02031399027 to confirm my cancellation but it was an automated service.Well its been 12 days and so far nothing has been taken out of my account,i will wait and see what happens after the 15 day trial date. Will keep you informed.Good luck

0I too fell foul of this scam, i ordered both the acia and the life cleanse, and yep i was charged in total of around £250, after the first charge went through my bank i rang the bank to be told the best thing to do was to cancel my card and they issue a new one, so i did that, a week later i noticed that almost £150 has been taken in two transactions from my account, when i rang the bank they said that the company had already put in a claim for the money before i cancelled my card, so they had a right to the money, the bank said i could put in a fraudulent case, but i had better check the small print first, which i did and low and behold, i had been scammed, which i too am very embarrased about as i think of myself as a logical and sensible person, i havent told anyone about it not even my husband, i just had to take the loss of the money on the nose, i emailed the company but they were rather nasty in their replies, and it has taught me a valuable expensive lesson.

0ALL FREE TRIALS ARE A SCAM IF THEY ARE ASKING FOR CARD DETAILS FOR POSTAGE OR ANY REASON!!!!!
Review by Sarah, February 7, 2010
0BEWARE of positive comments on their website! I went on their website through an advertisement, all I saw was a few positive comments stating how brilliant the product is! I haven’t tried the free trial because I had already heard it was a scam so I steered well clear but I did buy the colon cleanser juice and Acai Berry juice from a health shop and didn’t experience any changes so I typed an honest review but when I clicked on submit a message came up stating that the review must be checked before they can publish so anyone who leaves a bad review it will not be shown so beware of these so called reviews its all fake!!!!
Review by Sarah, February 7, 2010
0Why on earth are all you people registering a free trial and then putting in your card details??? If its free then they don’t need your card details until you decide to purchase more!!! Its called a free trial!! Thats how I found out it was a scam and lucky enough I had the brains to log out as soon as the page came up requested card details for a free trial!!?? Take this as a lesson, don’t give your card details unless you are purchasing from a reputable company and you are aware of the charge, not claiming the product is free. There are con artists out there scamming innocent and vulnerable people. Just remember there is no such thing as a quick fix and nothing comes for free!!
Review by maria, February 7, 2010
0Dont be embarrassed ,reading this has saved me from buying but i did buy from a health store and found it contained more soya than acai, i shall be reporting this to the trades discription as they are playing on our need to be healthy and slimmer..they should be locked up and all the monies returned
If enough of us complain something will have to be done to stop these greedy people. good luck

0Yet another one conned by these people. I found out too late that if you don’t cancel within 15 days you get charged £75 for your ‘free’ trial. Like others I found the pills made me sick and I looked pale. It’s difficult to work out who they are as there is nothing on the bottle but the second transaction came out as Probody. I have a cancellation number but I’m cancelling my credit card just to be certain. I’m very embarassed to have been so stupid, I can usually spot the scams.
Review by Littlelady, February 3, 2010
0I am sitting here feeling really freaked out by this scam. I made a stupid mistake in ordering these two products yesterday. I got caught up in the moment of a jump start to get my weight back down after having my 3rd baby, i have never done anything like this before and should have listened to my gut instinct. I called straight away to cancel after reading the small print, i have been given a cancellation number (apparently relating to both products) and advised that i will not here from them again (i also have automated cancellation emails). I had no problems getting through to someone, but still feeling uncomfortable with the whole situation i called my bank and cancelled my card so they shouldn’t receive any further monies. My bank advised that these types of scams are not taken out as monthly subscriptions but as single separate payments every month. I am still worried that they may be able to get hold of more money (thankfully i have only been charged for postage) and am now concerned about identity fraud. If i do receive these products i now have no idea what to do with them – if i start taking them are they going to make me ill – are there any long term side affects??? I read on another website (after ordering) someone mentioning internal bleeding. I called them again today to check to see if my account was indeed cancelled which was confirmed – i asked the question on side affects to be told can you take gelatine if yes then your OK. The man then said i cant take penicillin but 1000′s of other people can its a pharmaceutical product!! Please don’t fall for this and put yourself through this stress – Avoid Avoid Avoid.

0Hi, I also saw the advert of the mum who lost weight. I knew it was a trial and I had to cancel but was shocked when I read the comments. I have today cancelled further orders (but can’t cancel free trial and shipping costs) and have cancellation numbers so hopefully that should be the end of it. Not sure whether to cancel my credit card just in case.

1If you’ve been ‘had’ by this company,or have just signed up for a free trial, phone your credit/debit card company immediately and tell them you’ve lost your card or that it’s been stolen. Then phone the company (within 14 days of placing your order) to tell them to cancel your contract. They won’t be able to take any money from your card and you won’t end up paying for a rubbish product.

1Oh how stupid do I feel! I got sucked into this scam. I recieved the so called free trial today and decided to google them and found this site. I phoned the number given in the confirmation email and cancelled the accounts and got cancellation numbers as well as cancellation emails. I have phoned my bank as I paid for it on my visa debt so it would have gone out of my currant account….still me. The bank was VERY helpful and the person I spoke mto said her husband got scammed by the same company. They have cancelled my card and put a note on my account. The bank said there are 2 payments to come out of my account of £5 odd each….NOT the £3.95 they say. The payments are coming out in $ and with the exchange rate it is more than the invoice I was sent..
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is the end of it and no more money will come out of my account although the bank did say that they could try to come in and take money out of the previous authorisation but cancelling my card will help and in her personal experience that was the end of the matter.
Thank you for posting all your reviews, I am SO glad I found this site.

0I feel incredibly stupid now too having ordered them and received 2 out of 3 bottles.
I am dieting anyway, and not noticing any difference in the steady weight loss, so just googled this morning, does acai berry work – and wow – am so glad I did!!!!
Luckily I have only lost £4.95, my credit card company have cancelled my card so they will be unable to take any more payments.

0this is the biggest con, which eventually comes down to arguing, when i ordered this i recived both of the free trial things which by the way where not as advertised from this site ( http://jasonsfitmethod.com/xuk/?p=1&cpage=1#comment-146 ) i got something called power colon cleanse instead of affective cleanse extreme and acai berry detox which on the site just sais acai berry, taking these has also made me feel ill and pale, and even though i cancelled over the phone i got an email saying *
They do state that when you order the risk-free trial of our product, your card will be charged only $5.95 shipping and handling (or more depending on your country). You will have a full 14 day free trial period from your original order date to decide if our item is right for you.
At the end of your 14 day trial period you will be charged $79.95 for the trial bottle you received.
I do understand however that confusion may arise during the check out process.
As such, I have spoken to my manager and he has agreed to allow you to keep the already sent bottle in lieu (instead) of sending it back to us at a partial discount of USD$20 off.
Do let me know if we can proceed please.
I look forward to hearing from you.

0Oh dear I’ve also been had.I ordered free samples “only” in Nov 2009.rec’d o/k.Today I rec’d a further bottle of Acai- not ordered, thought strange, checked my bank statements only to find these sharks have taken £76.76 on 30-12-2009 and another £75.68 on 27/1/2010 for items not ordered.I’ve stopped future payments by applying for a new card. What a SCAM please steer well clear of this outfit.

0Just got through to the customer services depatement for this company and cancelled my order, phew! Of course the agent was trying to convince me not to cancel and she would extend my “trial” period! Obviously I declined this and stated that I just wanted to cancel the order. I have just received an email confirming that my order had been cancelled and that I would not receive any charges on my credit card. Just to be on the safe side (and thanks to the posts on here) I reported my c/c as lost so it has now been canvelled and a new one sent out! Thought Id get in there 1st before they decided to charge me anyway!
P.S there was a post about a 14 year old ordering from 1 of the sites, the contract between you and them cannot stand as you are not over 18 years old! It states in the T&Cs that you have to confirm that you are over 18, so am sure that you will have a way out of it as legally you are not old enough to understand the full implications of entering into a contract with another party!
Review by g peters, January 26, 2010
0Rang TSD to be told this. I was given the op to see the T&C. By accepting the product, I agreed to what was stated in the T&C. If the Co. had stated £2000 m/ship per product, it was entitled to take £4k out of my cc a/c on taking 2 pots of tablets. If it stated that I would give them my house, on taking up the offer, well, acc to TSD I would have to give them my house.
Anyone therefore can set up their own website to offer a product. Hide T&C in tiny letters, but link it to your statement that the customer agrees to anything you say.
Millionaire within a month, and TSD agree with me!

1I cancelled my order today past the 15 day deadline as i thought the 15 days started from when you received the items and it starts from the minute you place your order mine took nearly 3 weeks to arrive and as breastfeeding which they dont tell you about in the advert these tablets were useless for me but too late then as these villains have my bank details!!! I phoned and got cancellation numbers but the operator told me they had tried 4 times to take 119.02 dollars (nearly 100 gbp) within 3 days adding bank charges for me of 160.00 pounds and the woman told me that even after I had cancelled they would still be taking money from my account and she could not tell me how long this would continue for even after cancellation. I asked for there phone number direct and she was not authorised to tell me and had no superior I could talk to I suggested trading standards. I have been to my bank and hopefully come up with a solution, at first the bank said cant help go back to the company, then a younger girl said did they just take the 16 digit number from card or did they take sort code and account number? It was just the 16 digit one so cancelling your card by telling them you have lost it means the last 2 digits of this number will be different on your new card but account numbers will all be the same so you can block the acai theives from your account without having to close it completely and setting up a new account. Am still going to trading standards regarding bank charges these gits have got me but at least it shouldnt get any worse.

0Stupid me! After ordering I found this site but was so convinced that all I had done was to get a free sample I thought I had lost only my shipping costs.
Today two items USD119 each (£72.48 plus £1.50 charge) came through for ‘Probody’ and ‘Activepro’ which I reported as fraud. The bank cancelled my card.
Then I investigated this site again. Humiliating. I went back to Acaiberry-cleans-combo site and went through the free sample order steps to find under “30 Day Money back guarantee” it says that I had 15 days from the date of ORDER to cancel or I would get next months supply (£69 plus £3.95 shipping).
I called them and they said the trial was from date of order
(ordered 2/2/10 and received 15/1/10). The 30 days did not apply to free samples. I could have cancelled earlier. He then cancelled my order.
I will contact the Office of Fair Trading and hope this will help in closing them down.

0hi THANK YOU, all of you that put comments on i cant even remember when i ordered it wasnt that many days ago however i have checked my bank and they have already took 2 lots of £49 from my account i didnt even think i have tried calling but they keep disconnecting the line after asking if i have a pen for a ref number 13 times ive called and still trying at this minute i will be cancelling my card 1st thing tomorrow but what happens if they keep hanging up on me will they still be able to charge although i will get issued another card?
Review by Kris, January 20, 2010
0I have also fallen foul of this scam. I was sent the combo having paid for p&p. Once I got them I was a little suspicious and put them into the bin. A few weeks later I received an unsolicited box of pills with the name “Resvaratrol”. I have not heard anything since agreeing to the free trial in September. This month, I found to my horror that 2 payments have been taken from my bank account. One payment of $119.02(76.62) for Supp*Exclusive Berry and another $119.02 (76.59)for CleanseColon. I have not received any further products since the “free trial”. I rang the UK no. given on this site and was subjected to a rude and insolent customer services operative. I was told that I would not get a refund and asked whether I understood why I had been charged and whether I usually bought items on the internet without reading the terms and conditions!
I have a cancellation number and the matter is being investigated by my Bank but that will take at least 30 days. I would never have thought that I would have been conned in this way as I am usually so careful and feel very foolish indeed. The trading name of this company is Trading Planet and would urge anyone thinking of buying anything at all from them to take heed and avoid them like the plague!

I dont want the products, however cant find the little invoice slip and have no contact numbers.
Review by Kristina, January 15, 2010
0I too will add my name to the list. I purchased on Dec 28th a “free trial” product. My credit card company called me right away to warn me of the 15 days in the terms and not to get caught. I have been waiting the the free trial product to arrive…suprise it has not but the charges have appeared on my credit card!! So I have contacted my credit card company and the charges are pending right now and when they actually post their fraud department will look into it and hopefully remove the charges from my credit card. I will be asking them to issue me a new card and cancel the old one to avoid any other charges from this fraudulant company. It is a shame that some people have no conscious about taking other trusting individuals hard earned money!

0Hi Everyone, I am the latest of many to get sucked into this.
I had my doubts but when I saw it advertisd on a health website http://www.weeklyhealthireland.org I assumed it ws genuine, but alas.
It was after placing my order and an extra offer came up that I got suspicious and decided to read people’s opinions. I saw a warning by a guy who claims to have worked for them and how scammy they are and then read the T&C and I read lots of comments from other people. I rand them back five mins later to cancel and this was how my conversation with the customer service guy went:
ME: My name is vivian and order number ….
GUY: How Can I help you
ME: I recently puchased acaiberry and would like to cancel.
GUY: What’s the reason?
at this stage I explained to him my reason and he said
GUY: Madam, I’ll advise you not to cancel today, wait for three days and call us too cancel
ME: WHY?
GUY: Because if you cancel today as you made the order today (thursday) you will not receive the product, but if you cancel on saturday you get the product and nothing else.
At this stage I told guy I would like to cancel and he said ok that they’ll give me a reference number, I was getting a pen and the line cut off. In the process of ringing back I checked my email and found a mail from them saying my order has been cancelled with a UK contact number
+44 203 139 9027.
Just to be sure I rang my bank as I have a VISA DEBIT card and confirmed that if there’s insufficient funds in my accounts the bill will be returned to the sender.
I was advised to cancel the card but considering I have less than 20 euro in the account so I’ll wait and see.
As an afterthought I realised i never got a cancellation number, so I rang company back and guy answers saying to call back in an hour as they have technical problems.
My advice to everyone is to open an account just for internet buying and get a visa debit card. You only put in the amount you want to spend and if your bill extends the amount you have in the account the payment is not authorised.
Will update page when I do.

0I ordered this product as a free trial ( supposedly) for my friend but unfortunately she could not take the tablets. with Christmas stress etc I forgot to cancel within the 15days and saw two lots £76.00 taken from my account. I contacted them but no joy re a refund but they have cancelled the account. Expecting to receive more of the product for my £76 nothing arrived so I contacte4d them again only to be told the so called free trial cost £76 each.

0I also fell for this SCAM!!! That is exaclty what it is. After submitting to the free trial, I then read the fine print in that if you do not cancel this membership, you are charged £69 a month until you do. they say that if you cancel within the 15 day trial period (which I did) then they will not charge the £69. I have cancelled by calling 02031399024 and they gave me a cancellation number. I have also written them a letter and have cancellation emails from them. I have also cancelled my cards as i do not trust them one bit. i think the steps I have taken are the safest. What a bunch of pr***s
Review by Chris Lloyd-Rogers, January 11, 2010
0I bought a free trial of the combo – yes, bought! as the lightweight bottles cannot possibly cost the amount charged for postage. It must be the handling then! There is no suggestion that there is a contract when asking for this free trial. Nowhere on the web page does it suggest you read the terms and conditions, only when you open this section does it suggest you read it as it contains important information. The company are relying on the attraction of a free offer and are then charging exhorbitant amounts of money, £82.95 in my case, for a small bottle of pills that probably only cost a few pence to make. The company are relying on people not reading the terms and conditions and are therefore making money out of readers just looking at the offer. I am trying to get a refund at the moment but I don’t think my email will be answered. I am a pensioner and feel that I have been duped by this company. DO NOT ENTER INTO ANY PURCHASE FROM THEM.

0I have tried to order the absolute acai berry and colon cleanse after reading an “article” where a newsreader had trialled the products. Having read these comments I have gone back to the site and in the T&Cs it states the article isnt even real!!!! Thankfully my card would not be accected as it isnt a visa or mastercard!!! Cant believe I nearly signed up!!! Was just going to borrow a friends card too!! Phew!!

0Hi
Ditto to the above. My friend has ordered these and as it was afree trial ordered onbehalf of her husband and two sons so she is in for some problems. I have done the same as many and exactly the same niggling doubts as others on ordering but checked the security etc of website. have returned emails cancelling order and will ring in the morning also. i will let you know how I get on!
Review by Catherine, January 7, 2010
0Hi,
I have just ordered my free trial and all the time I was entering my details I had niggling doubts about this but stupidly, still went ahead. Just decided to google this and so glad I have done. I am going to cancel my order tomorrow and (fingers crossed) hope I’ve had a narrow escape. I will also speak to my bank to ensure no monies from this scam are debited from my account.
I just want to thank everyone who has left comments on this website as I hadn’t read the small print and would have been stung for this product, if I haven’t already. I am kicking myself as I’m normally so careful about this kind of thing – it is the lure of the losing those last few pounds that grabs you.
Thanks again.

Review by Christina Nicolaides, January 4, 2010
0Hi, I have also signed up to these “amazing tablets” and then after read these reviews, freaked out and cancelled the order straight away. I am not sure if this is enough though? So I have also called my Bank who have advised that I cancel my card and have a new card issued, this way my account is protected. I would advise anyone else to do the same, straight away! Thank you for this website and thank you for the warnings, I just wished I had seen this before I put my card details in. It’s just a shame a big search engine like Google or the Trading Standards haven’t stopped these scammers yet.

0The free trial is a scam. Of course there is a catch, but I was charged £72 for membership which I had no idea I have signed and taken out. The free trial in fact will cost you £72.00 even if you have cancelled your membership. I have cancelled the membership and reported them to my credit card company. My credit card company has promised that there will be no more charges to be taken from my card. I hope so, or else.

0having been sucked in to this scam and after being robbed of £157.00 by this company without actually receiving a thing in two months i cancelled my card with the bank and raised a dispute through my bank with visa. the bank gets you to fill out a form and then pursues the company on your behalf. i obtained an email address for them and bombarded them with emails to get my money back. i have today received an email from trading planet informing me that i am to get a full refund. if anyone else has problems with this company do as i did, they will back down and refund yor money eventually. the email address i have is customersupport@tradingplanet.com.
good luck and do not give up you will succeed.

Just phoned them on +44 870 4798221 (UK number) and they cancelled my ‘subscription’, which I had no idea I had taken out. they gave me two cancellation reference numbers and I received an automated email confirming the cancellation.

1Apalling product, appallling internet scam. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS OFFER IT WILL COST YOU HUNDREDS OF POUNDS, plus the tablets will make you feel unwell, plus they DO NOT WORK. Even if you cancel the offer within 15 days they will continue to charge you. It cost me £400. I took them on and got most of it back through VISA but I was lucky. These guys are criminals who have found a way to rip you off. They route the money thru a range of foreign banks and it’s almost impossible to track it. Be sensible, eat less and excercise more…it’s the only way.

0I ordered a free trial of AcaiBerry and Effective Cleanse on 3rd December. They arrived today, 11th Dec and I went on the internet to find out how to take them. I was horrified when I saw the results about being scammed! I telephoned my credit card company and they couldn’t see anything that had been taken out, but could not cancel anything. I telephoned the number on my invoice 0808 238 9830 and explained that I did not want to sign up for any further tablets. They were very polite and said they would cancel it – they have given me cancellation numbers. I asked how much I had already been charged, they said $1.4 ish dollars (about 0.95p) for P&P. Lets hope no more is on my account! Thanks everyone for mentioning this (I would have definately been scammed – if I haven’t already!)

0I received two free samples of acaiberry and colon c within a few weeks of each other. My card co got in touch to confirm the two transactions of £75.93 I didnt know who it was but to my horror i discovered that the free samples are now costing me £75.93 every month. I havent even received any more of the product. I have now phoned the telephone no 02031399024 and cancelled my so called subscription, which by the way I wasn’t aware of entering into until the girl on the phone said that i had as i should have cancelled within 15 days it was in small print which I never saw !! They have already taken another two more £75.93 from my account at the beginning of Dec they obviously know that people are checking there statements so they have to act quickly and remove more money before we can cancel. I phoned them again and a spanish person said that there finance dept would e-mail me back within 72 working hours about a refund, I will let you know how I get on. I am now going to phone trading standards to find out my position regarding getting monies back. My card has now been cancelled I hope!!

1I too was sucked in by this scam. I ordered online on 14 November. I received both the Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse within several days. I went back on to the website and clicked on the T&C’s and was horrified to read that the 15 day trial started on the day I had ordered. I got a bad feeling about it and phoned the number on the enclosed invoice immediately. They answered my call within a few rings and the girl that I spoke to was very helpful and cancelled my order for me and gave me a cancellation number. I thought that would have been the end of it but after reading the reviews that have been posted about this company I wasn’t happy until I called my credit card company and cancelled my card. Even though I had cancelled the order I didn’t feel secure in the knowledge that they wouldn’t go into my bank and take more money out of it, after all I was stupid enough to give them the number. I hope that it is all sorted now. But be warned DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

0Well they certainly worked but I have hardly slept and felt quite unwell. I have been debating whether to continue as I think it could be the caffeine content of the acai berry that has caused this (I don’t normally drink tea or coffee) and have decided I will continue but 1 of each a day instead of 2.

0I too got sucked in by this. I order detox body cleanse arrived from another co Trading Planet Ltd. Advert inplied P&P only cost, no idea they were to take £75.05 out of my credit card account 14 days later. Credit card co told me to ring no which was in Cyprus, where I managed to cancel and get a ref. I later rang Trading Planet and they said my account had been cancelled, just hope that’s correct. Very worrying as the advert obviously links into this scam and was top on Google listing, I too feel that the search engines should take some responsibility to the scam.

0In Sep 09 I purchased the free trial (shipping costs of around 2.50pds total) of acaiberry-cleanse-combo and received the products within approx 10 days as advised. In the meantime I had seen the numerous articles about the scam so as soon as I received the products I read the T&C, called the number and cancelled any future orders. I received cancellation references and have not received any more charges or products.
Today (26/11/2009)I have tried to find reviews to see if the products actually work as they have been sitting in my drawer ever since. As I can’t find any I am going to start taking them myself as I want to loose some weight before Xmas. I have been on a diet for a few months and have hit a plateau so am hoping this will help. I will post a review once trial completed!

0What a pity I didn’t google acai berries before I foolishly ordered a free trial. Then I would have found all these sites informing me of the scam…I ordered the free product in Oct and it arrived with no details so it looked like a genuine free trial Only when i received another delivery did I phone the UK number. 0808 238 9830 UK Toll free number and spoke to a member of staff who cancelled my order and account immediately, and issued me with the two cancellation numbers. However I have yet to see if this has been honoured. I was asked to give my e-mail address as refunds come from the accounts dept and they needed to contact me. I have received contact and they have stated the following statement from them as follows.
Unfortunately we had some technical problems. Due to this issue, part of your refund could not have been processed.
We always strive to provide excellent customer service and therefore we would like to solve this situation by issuing a second refund.
In order to issue a manual credit directly to your account, please provide us with the following details:
* Your full name
* Your billing address
* Your bank name
* The bank address
* IBAN (for European Customer) or account number (for not European customer)
I am reluctant to hand this info out so am now in a panic . Any offer of advice.
I am in contact with my bank. Does the credit card cancellation work.
Regards to all like me.

1hi guys, wow i got scammed only 4 hours ago got a pop up on msn, ordered free trial and then stupidly thought ahh let me read small print and google the products….found these reviews and hope all resolved as I have just cancelled. Spoke to nice enough chap who gave me a cancellation number and assured me that the only charge i will have to pay is the £0.95p shipping and handling cost
he couldnt guarantee that the trial pack would not be sent but hey i may just give them a go but shocked at the cost of £70.00 every 30 days what a huge rip off!
Thank you all for bothering to write reviews I jusy wish I had used my brain and read them before ordering.
I may even claim lost card so that i get a new one to avoid any further charges, the little inconvenience may be worth it.

0I too have been robbed, under the same conditions as listed above, via my Bank Debit Card. The first I knew of the robbery, was a message from the Bank, informing me that the account was overdrawn incurring Bank Charges of £22. I immediately called in to the Bank and cancelled my Debit Card and requested a new one. I have since learned that this will not stop money being taken.
The Invoice/Receipt for my goods, bears the heading,’Trading Planet Ltd: It would seem that this address is also being used illegally and the true owners have informed the Avon and Somerset Police, Tel; 0845 456 7000, quote Crime No;AS2009 0908/0271.
For further info; go to http://www.tlcinvestigations.co.uk, also, if you type Trading Planet Ltd; in your search engine, you can find a number of other complaints sites.
I intend to pursue the matter to retrieve the Money stolen, as have many others.
The Fraud has also been reported to BBC Watchdog.

I have just foolishly ordered the ‘free trial’ of Acaiberry and Cleanse Antioxidant and then decided to do a bit more research (which I should have doen before hand) and found all these bad reviews. I thought it was too good to be true and well I guess I’m going to pay the price. I just can’t believe I was so taken in. I am going to cancel my order first thing tomorrow and then speak with my bank as to the best course of action to take from here so that no unexpected money leaves my account.
I am not sure if this helps any one else but when I signed up for the free trial the confirmation emails came back saying that shipping charges would appear as ‘GoodLife’ and ‘LiveLong’. I do have a company name and address as LB Envision Net Worldwide Ltd in London.
I just hope that I am quick enough to sort out this whole mess with out it costing me a fortune.
Thanks for the reviews folks, just wish I’d read them sooner

0Seems like everyone is being conned by the free trial. I didn’t recieve the free trial untill 6 weeks later so too late to cancel anyway then their computer had a “Technical error” they sent and charged my card for 2 lots, from 2 different companies. I cancelled as soon as but they wouldn’t give me a refund. However upon threatening them with trading standards and relevant authoroties they offered me a full refund in the essence of “Outstanding customer service”, thats a joke but the refund was not that was true. My advice is to make a dispute with your credit card, contact trading standards, keep all correspondence and send copies to you r credit company. In the meantime keep in contact with these people accepting nothing but a full refund. It worked for me, hope everyone has the same success.

I called the nos.+358942415769 and a woman answered the phonewho hang up later when I told her that I want to send back the products since I have not started taking the pills yet. I called up again and it was a man who answered the phone the second time and he told me that nothing is free and nothing is refundable. I can say that these people are just taking money from people’s credit card so easily. Watch out, they are just robbing people of their money thru their credit cards! I spoke to an american lady who answered after only 3 rings and told her i wanted to cancel as there was no way i would know in 3 days if i wanted to continue and informed her i would return pills as i hadnt opened them. She advised to keep the pills as once they have been sent from warehouse they have to be destroyed if returned as they cant guarentee nothing has happened to them. She assured me that my details have now been removed from the companys database and my order is cancelled, she gave me a cancellation number for the acaiberry and a seperate one for life cleanse and said no money will be taken from account and i dont have to do anything else unless i would like to order some more then to go to the website to do so…. so heres a question.. they are supposedly mine now ready for the taking do they work or should i bin them, and should i still cancel my card anyway?? what do you think people?

Anyone else in the same boat?

0PHEW.I think i have a narrow escape.This is my story;
I too ordered this product and then went to find out more about the product and found out it was a scam.
i called the number listed on the review of 02031399104, it was answered after 12 minutes and i spoke to a man with a Geordie accent. I quoted the order ID and was told i had 3 accounts. He then went on to cancel the accounts and gave me one cancellation code for all 3 accounts.
I then called my credit card company who confirmed that 3 lots of 99p had been taken out.
The lady confirmed that i couldn’t block the company from taking further payments. I then asked what the easiest course of action was to ensure no other sums were taken out.(I was worried about other people saying random amounts were being taken out by other companies). She advised me that i could cancel my card and they would re issue so i would receive a new card within a week.
I decided to go with this option as i couldnt take the risk of any further money being taken out.
My worry is that the cancellation with the company wouldn’t cancel all payments. To be honest i don’t think i could trust my card any more. What if they give my details to other companieS? They have access to the 3 digits on the back of the card and all my personal details. It’s frightening, and a real eyeopener to honest people.

I had my bank card in my hand but something kept nagging at me, their adverts on the computer i read about 2 different women saying “how fantastic the product is”. When looking closely the articles were almost identicle plus that your 15 day period starts from the moment you order, this will give me at best 7 days proberly to try the product. My husband googled acaiberry and the rest they say is history. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
My heart goes out to the people who have been taken in, they prey on the vunable who will go that extra step to get a better way of life.

0I too have become a victim; in my case the free samples did not arrive and then the follow up pills came 2 months later with the bill. Surely one has the right to return within 28 days if not wanted?

0I too got conned by this free trial. I cancelled via email as that’s all i had, and was told no more packages would be sent or money taken. They LIED, they have taken 6 payments and iv’e recieved only 4 packages. My credit card company was no help, so i had to cancel my card altogether. Wish i had read these reviews before i ordered.

0I saw this product advertised on MSN homepage too and thought it looked good. However, I had been stung before on a CD scam which was advertised on TV (same sort of thing – you think you’re ordering 1 CD with great tracks on it that you really want, but end up paying for and receiving one CD per month each of which only had 1 good track on it for years. It was impossible to cancel too, although I eventually did manage to). So I read the Acai Terms and Conditions before ordering. Having seen that it is possible to have the 15 day trial period extended if the order doesn’t arrive on time by phoning customer services, I tried to call to see if I could get my trial time extended as I felt that 15 days was not long enough to know if there was any benefit, particularly as you may only have been taking it for a day or so by the time the 15 days run out!). I waited in a phone queue (paying a fortune) for 10 mins, and still not being answered, I gave up and didn’t order. It appears to me, particularly after reading these reviews, that it is a total scam and I’m so pleased I didn’t order. Thank you to all the others who submitted reviews – now I’m not tempted to give it another try!

0Have just put the phone down to the American Customer Service dept 001-819-483-0467 who were extemeley helpful. Hope everything goes to plan tho’. He informed me that I will receive a cancellation email within the next 24/48 business hours to which I must reply. When my (unwanted) 2nd batch of Acai arrive I am to send them back to China where they were sent from for a full refund. Does this sound legit or like a fairy story? We’ll have to wait & see. As a relpy to those people who want to bin their pills-DON’T-you might need to send them back if things go pear shaped!!

0After taking the initial payment for post and packing of £3.95 this company has also taken £79. Thankfully my bank has put a block against anymore payments going out. I have just received a colon cleanse and the remittence for this is £82.However they have’nt attempted to take the money.
My bank said that I had to phone them and tell them that I was seeking a refund. I did get through using two different numbers and both times it was the same man who answered and said that the systems were down.

0If you have already placed an order, just cancel your credit card. It will cost you nothing to get a new card with a new card number. I have learnt my lesson with another company selling another product. Look out for warning signs such as no company address, no phone number, only contact by web form etc.

0IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS………..
I placed an order for the free trial and then came accross this website and was completly horrified at what I read.
Straight away I contacted my bank and informed them of a transaction from my credit card I wanted to cancel. They said that the payment was there waiting to be authorised and that I need to keep an eye on my account over the next few days and that they would try to redeeem any monies back. I advised them that this was a ‘SCAM’ website and that further monies would be taken without my authorisation and they immediately actioned a cancellation on my credit card.
I then called the 0808 238 9830 UK Toll free number and spoke to a member of staff who cancelled my order and account immediately, however I did lose the shipping charge as this is non refundable! A small price to pay for what could have been a major rip off.
Luckily I should have stopped all further contact. Phew.

0Just thought i would do some more reading about the acia berry as my free trial has just arrived. What a SHOCK, i had no idea that this is a scam, i will try and cancel it tomorrow! I thought i was computer savy and have purchased a lot of items via the internet and never had a problem. Looks like i will have to cancel my credit card and put this down to experience. I will let you know whether i was able to cancel it or not.

Good luck to you all getting your money back, major websites should check adverts like this to prevent the public losing their ‘hard earned’ in scams like this

Review by Dave, October 16, 2009
0I too made the major mistake of ordering without reading. Luckily I realised the implications an hour later when I googled the Acai people.
The following is my version of damage control.
I contacted my Credit Card provider, who told me that I couldn’t stop the transaction. But if I canceled the order, they can recall the money as a trader dispute when the money is taken.
The next morning I rang 0044-203-139-9104 (the real helpline number). I got someone very fast, he was courteous. I asked to cancel my order and got a cancellation number. I also asked him to clarify the address of the company I had bought from (there were three different ones on different sites).
I wrote a letter confirming that I was canceling the order. I gave my name address, email address, credit card no, and cancellation number and Insturcted that no more monies should be taken from my account. I signed it and scanned it in to the computer.
Then posted it to the right address and asked for a certificate of postage from the Post office. and scanned it in too.
The idea being that, if need be I can email the letter and proof of postage to strengthen my case when looking for the refund through the credit card provider, only if they still go ahead and take the money.
I’ll just have to keep an eye on my credit card bills on line daily. I hope this is of some help.

1I have also been conned by this company. I tried contacting my bank but they said I am at fault for not beig careful with my details!! This has just added insult to injury. Be careful people. I also contacted MSN and advised them of this scam. I am hoping these ads will soon be removed. If we all complain to the websites that advertise these goods then we have a good chance of ending this situation. I sent the company an email telling exactly what I thought of them. I also read a post on another website from a man who said they were using his address on their invoices as though it was their address…it just keeps getting worse! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

0What a pity I didn’t google acai berries before I foolishly ordered a free trial. Then I would have found all these sites informing me of the scam…I ordered the free product in August and it arrived within a few days. I didn’t even open the products. I thought no more about it until this morning when I checked my credit card and found that 83 Euros had been deducted. When I contacted my credit card company, they connected me to the ‘company’ who supplied the acai berries.I was informed that under the Terms and Conditions, I should have cancelled within 15 days. I did not receive a second shipment so I don’t know what I have paid for. I’m worried that they will continue to deduct money from my account…what do I do now? Can we get our money back? Can anyone help me?

1.4I too have been “had” by this company. I ordered on the 6th of September the goods arrived on the 9th of September. I thought the service was brilliant! Then my husband drew my attention to our bank statement where in total £150 had gone out via 2 identical payments on the same day. We contacted our bank who advised us to cancel the card and contact the company to end the agreement that I didn’t know I had entered in to!My husband has contacted the Trading Planet company who dispatched the tablets. They were helpful giving cancelation reference numbers saying that no more money will be taken. We hope!

0Hi, I too fell into this trap! I received both products on the same day via seperate packaging and decided to google acai berry to see what other properties it may have and, like some of you, panicked when I saw ‘the scam’. Next morning I phoned my credit card company and saw that the ‘carriage’ charges had come off. I chatted to the customer service agent and she advised me to contact the ‘Retailer Disputes’ department. I penned a letter to Trading Planet ltd cancelling the order (within 15 days)and posted it by special delivery. I copied the letter and postage receipt and faxed it through to the disputes department. They said they would then monitor the account to make sure no further monies would be taken by this company. My credit card company gave me a telephone number of Trading Planet and I was able to get through instantly. I spoke with an agent who, I admit was very pleasant, and she gave me cancellation numbers. I have all this recorded just in case there is a further attempt to take money or if I receive further products that I do not want. My credit card company have been very helpful and they were aware of this scam. However, wee word of warning, just ‘cancelling’ your card is not enough! The credit card companies have an obligation to pay any retailers that present ligit card numbers, and you would still have the debt on your account. My advice is to contact your cc co and chat to them about your dilema. They are very willing to help you out. Good luck!

1Just received my second order and realised what a con. Did not see the 15 day cancellation in terms and conditions. Telephoned Co. and got a cancellation number. Refused to back date cancellation so being stung for £165.90. Spoke to C/C company and have now cancelled my card and getting a new one. Harsh lesson to learn.

0Beware! most orders are on American time, e.g. you make your order at 9pm UK time it early morning US time your order has been processed monies charged from your account, even if you call the next morning UK your order US time has been dispatched and shipped from a UK firm. Call every number you can think of visit the complaints board site http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/acaiburn-trislim-coloncureus-healthmember-c244349.html?sort=datea&page=2 and just when yoiu think you have cancelled EVERYTHING count your losses and report your card as stolen / lost CHANGE the CARD account number. because of the so called terms and conditions you have also signed up to ‘OTHER’ companies that you will not know about untill you have been charged and will keep on being charged as they keep on changing their names. Then you must check your statments regually. Aother thing to think about is UK Banks have changed their terms & conditions ( as i have posted on the site link above)basically, from the moment you confirm the last 3 digits on the back of your card (security code) that’s you! you have legally agreed to everything and everything and it will be up to you to prove otherwise and your card company will honour every payment………BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

1DON’T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Hassle and Hassle, SCAM!!
Read up reviews and check other companies out before buying from any other suppliers. By the Reviews on this site i would recommend Either Health Spark or Troo North. Im going to buy a pot of Acai from Health Spark and will leave my review after.

0I ordered the 2 products on the 2nd of August and recived the Life Cleanse 2 days later, in all fairness I have found it very good with my IBS. As for the Aciaberry I have not recieved although they say it was shipped out at the same time, the staff on the telephone are rude and say ‘well you will have to order again’ and still have to pay the 2nd time with no gaurentee that it will arrive. They say there is nothing they can do and wait another 2 weeks, then ring again.
I can only say to one and all cancel in the first 15 days and make sure you have a note of the cancellation numbers they give you. BIGTIME SCAM.

0I thought i`d give this a go too.. cancelled my order after 10 days and yes they took £49.00 from my account, i called them up on 001-866-279-6513 and said i have cancelled and they said send back the pills and we will refund you..
I sent back the pills,
(who knows what i could of done with them and who is taking them now!!)
No refund, they just took £6 and £7 out as admin and joining fee every month.. then another £49.00 and it went on..
I called up my bank and they said as i gave out my card details they have the right to take the money..
I told the bank i cancelled with the company 3 times and still had nothing back and i want to report my card stolen then.. it seemed to work, i got 2 lots of £49.00 back but nothing else,
Then the company sent me an email asking if i got my money back and why it all went so wrong and what can they do to help, really nice butt licking email.. So i replied and told them everything….
They didnt even contact me back.. i was lucky to get some of my money back but please dont even bother with on line buying..
My boyfriend lives in LA he ordered free teeth whitening stuff on a trial, they are pounding his account at the moment taking lots of money even after he cancelled…
hope ths helps… fay

0I saw the free trial fir the acaiberry-cleanse-combo.com amd immediately signed up. Afterwards I goggled to see if I could get this product in the UK rather than ahving us keep with the free trial company. I spoke to a UK company and they were the ones that informed me that these free trial companies were scamming people. I immediatly contacted then within 2 days of placing my order and I did get throught to a member of their team and was able to cancel my order. I too was issued with a cancellation number. So far so good, 15 days have passed and I have not had any monies taken out of my credit card by this company. The advice I was give by the company I spoke to in the UK is that the best thing would be to cancel your credit card and get another one issued. That way the acaiberry free trial guys cannot get money from your card. Hope this helps.

0I have just received my first pot of life cleanse and I happened to look up the company on the internet and nearly had a fit when I saw all the complaints that it was a scam. I phoned immedediately to cancel any contract that I might have not realised I was entering into I was assured that my account had been cancelled and that I would received no more goods and no money will be taken. I am hoping that it the end of it, I have had a narrow escape and I want to thank everybody for alerting me of this scam. I will be watching my credit card account daily to make sure they do not take any more money.
I saw this advert on MSN and I stupidly thought that it would be ok, I very good lesson learnt I will just use willpower in future to lose weight rather than money.

Review by Jacqui Elmore, September 8, 2009
0After I had signed up for the free trial I read the T&C’s and was horrified to learn it was some sort of scam. If you do not cancel in 15 days you are signed up to a contract. The tablets arrived and I got something called Resveratrol instead of Acai Berry Detox. So they are not even shipping the right products. I read this site last night and decided to cancel and I did get through on the published number for the UK Toll free 0808 238 9830 and was handled very well and efficiently and given cancellation numbers. The young lady said Resveratrol was not one of their products. I was told by my credit company I cannot do anything to stop paymenst going out of my account should they choose to take monies as I had given my credit card details and what they are doing is not fraud and would be classified as a Retailer Dispute.
Surely advertising standards need to stop this type of thing from happening. I saw the advert on the MSN home page and I think they also need to take some ownership for vetting the adverts they publish.

0I too read the reviews about ‘free trials’. Thank you. When I phoned the company to check, they said that I was automatically signed up to receive monthly supplies. I have cancelled that – I hope. They have given me cancellation numbers as reference. On the tub of both Acai Berry and Life Cleanser there is no company name only ‘distributed by’. My invoice says Trading Planet Ltd. but that is the only reference. I will also contact my bank and instruct them not to make any future payments.

0AVOID AT ALL COSTS IS RIGHT . . .
They advertise a free trial but it is not a free trial – it is a 15 day trial and the clock starts from the moment you put in the order – you have to phone within 15 days to stop the order or they deduct £72.63 PER PRODUCT from your bank account AND then you receive the product monthly after that and are charged.
They trade under many names and have conned a number of people – see
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/viv3-vitality-clean-acaiburn-c242303.html
and
http://www.canyoutrustthem.com/index.php?go=search&adv=yes&company_name=2145
to see the types of problems being experienced by users. I luckily only took the first dose of the Acai Berry Detox and it gave me an awful stomach ache that lasted a few days.
Hope I have stopped people making a terrible error
