1Scam site stay away at all costs! Acai berry scam!
Review by Louise, March 29, 2010
0I have also been scammed, I am being charged by a company that appears on my credit card bill as Healthcare Payment Sol Ocala Fl, this is the second time I have been charged this. I have contacted Acai burn to cancel my account which they said they had but I had to cancel my account with their affiliated companies. I emailed the ones that they gave me. Since I have been charged I have phoned acai burn about this and all I am told is that my account is closed. My credit card company is looking into it but they do not have a phone number for this company either.
STAY CLEAR OF ACAIBURN THEY HAVE MANY AFFILIATED COMPANIES WHO CHARGE YOU.

0Incidentally do not buy JoLife Cleanse either, same con, same
charge of £76.69 not mentioned the first time you receive the trial. It does not work.
Review by A Robinson, March 5, 2010
0I’d like to thank the young lady in Harrogate who so highly recommended the product. I should be old enough not to fall for such con tricks!
I received 1 month supply instead of the free trial and was billed before I had time to turn round. Instead of the special price of £69 I was billed £76.69 TWICE!
You might as well take two baby aspirins for the good it does.
I have managed to get hold of them and cancel the order over the telephone and have received confirmation from “no-reply@globalcustomersupport.net” bearing no reference whatsoever to order numbers etc. so a very dubious cancellation confirmation. I have also managed to talk to one of their staff and asked him to confirm that the order was definitely cancelled. Which he did – for all it is worth!

PS; STILL WAITING ON A REPLY EMAIL WAS SENT 3MONTHS AGO!!!!BAD NEWS!!!!
Review by Pauline, February 22, 2010
0Cannot believe I fell for this. Supposed to be free, but now find £79.20 taken from my account. I have cancelled my cards but the bank say there may be more money taken from it as this is a continuous subscription. Useless trying to contact the company (supposed to be Singapore based.) If this stops just one person from having unauthorised money taken from them, then it has done some good. BEWARE. As they say, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Review by scatty mum, February 21, 2010
0i am disgusted that i have been ripped off alot of money an my bank wouldnt even stop it even tho i told them that i wanted these unauthorised pos cancelled.they said because i had given my details for the trial sample it was basically my fault that i have had over a hundred pound taken out of my bank possibly even more.when i phoned the company up they gave me a cancellation no an told me to send the other bottle that i hadnt ordered back an they would reimburse me the money bk plus the money that was taken out would be given back within 10 days.im still waiting now and i dont know what else to do i feel like im banging my head at a brick wall.if anybody has any advice on how i can sort this out as i have been unable to pay some bills which urgently need paying because of this.
Review by georges, February 14, 2010
0I have read others concerns and i am also a victim of this scam as I end up with a £75.81 being debited from my account. It seems they are from Singapore as it has been on my bank account description. So, it not matter of sending complainant emails but the government must take serious steps to stop this and though sanction should be taken against this people. We can keep on sending emails but they are still operating out there and making billions of £ or $ of fake things. I explain that to my bank and the fraud department are investigating about it and explain to them that i do not authorize any further payment from them and delete any direct debit from that account and requested another card for replacement.
Review by Jo, February 12, 2010
0Hi everyone,
I too was victim of this scam – £74 was deducted from my account and I contacted my bank Alliance and Leicester because I thought it was debit card fraud originally! They cancelled my card and then I was informed, by my back that I had set up an agreement with this company. I rang and asked them politley to refund my money they said I had not read Terms and Conditions. I told them I had not agreed to £74 being taken out ( I am a single mum). I asked to speak to the manager. Anyway to cut a lo0ng story short, they emailed me to say they had cancelled my order. I replied that not good enough I want my money back. I heard nothing so yesterday sent two more emails and said if my mo0ney was not refunded by close of business tomorrow I would be contacting Financial Ombudsman, Trading Standards, Watchdog and the Police and get them done for fraud. I have had three emails back to say they have refunded my account as from today. We shall see! My advice is bombard them with threats of conatcing Police, Trading Standards and they will get on the case. Once your card has been cancelled they can no longer draw funds on it as the card number will have changed.
Hope this helps
Jo

Review by Sarah, February 7, 2010
0BEWARE of positive reviews on their website!! I went onto one of these free trial websites through their advertisement. I had not tried the free acai berry clone cleanser free trial as I had already heard it was a scam but I did try the juices from a health shop, I didn’t dotice any change so I went on to type in an honest review, whemn I clicked on the submit button a message popped up stating the review needs to be checked before publishing! So this proves they only show good reviews and you will never see the bad ones!!! Its all fake so be warned!!! Also, all you ppl should not have give your card details to a free trial, that was a massive clue it was a scam!!! NO FREE TRIAL SHOULD ASK FOR CARD DETAILS FOR POSTAGE OR ANY REASON!!! And remember 2 things:
1. Nothing comes for free!!
2. There is no such thing as a quick fix!!

0I have also been scammed! Ordered a free trial before Xmas. My credit card was charged 30 December for £4.23 (shipping) by a company called Global. I went away on the 7 Jan ’10 and i had not received the parcel by then. I returned on the 16 Jan and the parcel had been delivered. On checking my emails i had received an email off the company stating that as i had not cancelled my order within 15 days of delivery, they were sending my next supply! My credit card was charged £75.40 on the 15 January! I rang them up immediately and eventually got through to someone. I explained that i had been away and hadnt had chance to try my trial yet. She explained that it was too late to cancel as the second supply had been dispatched. I cancelled any further orders and i did receive a confirmation email. I asked to speak to manager to complain but she said she just worked in a call centre and no manager there! I asked to speak to her supervisor and she tried to hang up on me! I ot no where with her – she kept saying she was only doing her job! To date i have not received my second delivery (which i have paid for!) I emailed them last week to chase it up and i got a standard email back stating that my order had been dispatched on 30/12/09, which was my orginial trial. So today i rang them and spoke to a bloke who was v condesending in his manner. He said that i had cancelled my order and because of that they have charged me the full price for my trial supply! I explained that i had already paid for the shipping costs of that and his response to that was ‘bad luck’!! I have written to my credit card explaining what has happened to me and not to accept any further charges off this company (none have appeared yet).
I am not sure if this company is the same one everyone else has had a bad experience with, but i hope that my warnings stop anyone being scammed like i have. Expensive lesson.

1I also went for the free trial in December 2009 and paid £4.99 with my credit card. Yesterday, I got home to find another tub of pills that I had not ordered and an invoice for £120!!!. Having tried to call them 3 times, each time I got cut off – how convenient. Ive just checked my CC statement only to find that they have also taken a further 2 payments of £76.91 each. I cant believe how stupid I feel for believing that this was real. I just hope that my CC company will understand and reject any future payments. These people need to be stopped.

1I bought the trial packs of colon cleanse and acai berry, both of which failed to work. When I rang the company to cancel my subscription, they assuredd me this would be done. However on reading some very bad reviews of this product and the company’s suspect dealings I immediatley cancelled my credit card and fortunetly haven’t had any problems. So if you do buy the free trial, and decide not to continue, cancel your credit/debit card immediately and then contact the company (in my case VIV3 labs) to stop them taking anymore money. This all has to be done within 14 days of your original order, otherwise you enter into a contract with them.
Review by Jenny Phillips, January 30, 2010
0I signed up for a free trial, and they charged my card for it. I thought that wasnt very free, but thought everything would be ok, if the pills worked.
I started using the pills. I used to weigh about 19 stones and after using the pill for about three weeks, I have put on nearly 8 pounds.
As if that wasnt bad enough, more pills arrived in the post, and then I got another credit card bill.
This puts me right up to my credit card limit and now cause Ive put on weight I cant fit into my wedding dress, im due to get married in two weeks.
I also crashed my car the other day. Because of all the stress I cant stop eating chocolate cake.
I really want to stop these credit card bills, but I cant phone the company becuase I dropped my mobile down the sink the other day aswell.
My advice is dont use these pills cause they dont work and they cost lots of money.

0You need to cancel your credit cards immediately, and then go through chargeback process to get your money back, if you havent cancelled your cards you need to do it immediately, my CC company were brilliant, and stopped my card within minutes so no way these scammers will get anything else out of me.
Who and where do we need to report them to to get them shut down????

1Have suffered like so many of you above but have now received ‘ACAIFORCE’, phoned up again to cancel acaiberry and quoted my cancellation ref No. and was told that this product has nothing to do with them. It came in a dhl bag with no invoice number and only a flyer to congratulate me on my decision to continue using ACAIFORCE. 0Hey Steve Benoit,
What a joke you are trying to defend your subsrciption. You are a bunch of crooks and you know it. Your terms and conditions are not displayed on the page, all tyou promote is free trial, just pay shipping. How come all these people continue to complain about £££ being taken from their account. Dont be such a joker, your product terms and conditions are a complete SCAM. Anyone reading what i have written, believe me from first hand exprience that they rip you off. Almost happened to me until the last minute when i checked.
One final thought for Steve Benoit, if you didnt mean to cause any inconvenience to customers, then your company are full of incompetent idiots or are just plain thieves. Which one is it???

0I was stupid enough to order a free trial,(too good to be true when thinking about it) i then came across this web site and panicked i had given my bank details to a company called Absolute Acaiberry (I think its all the same company but they use differant names) I immediately rang my bank and cancelled my credit card account and they opened another one straight away with a new account number. I then rang a number ( which was on a previous review) 08082 389891 i cancelled the order with them and got a cancellation number so hopefully that will be the end of it. These people should be stopped and not be allowed to advertise on the internet.

0Hi folks….
Yes….add another one to the list of people ripped off by this Fraud.
I ordered a few weeks ago for my wife as it seemed a good free trial.
Only by checking my statement did i realise something was wrong and i contacted my bank TSB.
My bank advised me that my card should be suspended and i agreed. However apparently once i activate my card the con merchants will still withdraw from the account hehe….
How sad that we have all been ripped off for benig honest and yet we have no protection. As one of the ladies mentions we end up trying to chase ghosts as evidence for the bank fraud team!!!!!!!…….
Yes lets stick together and contact the police, trading standards and the press.
One final point i know what i would do if i ever get my hands on the master con behind this.
Review by Thomas, December 17, 2009
0Guys,
I noticed the website in question and almost signed up for it. Only for a internet search on the product I would have, but thankfully I found this sight. First of all I wish to thank you for taking the time to post your experiences, I pretty sure for every one of you that did there are ten others who did not. I have experience of recurring subscriptions (from legitimate companies ie Xbox live) I didn’t actually want a re-subscription but they give it anyway and billed me. The bank said because I hadn’t actually cancelled I was liable and had to pay. I was also advised my only other option to recover the money was to sue Microsoft and this would be expensive, very expensive. So I had to pay. I did get some good advice from the bank though. Basically do not give your credit card number out unless you have read every word of the small print and understood it. Furthermore if you phone the company in question record the call, also write a letter of cancellation and photocopy it for proof. also if you see anything on your credit card bill unwanted call the bank immediately and tell them of unauthorised transactions and to place an IMMEDIATE suspension of the card giving the reason you suspect fraud. The bank will instantly stop all further transactions on the card. Also you must request a replace card with a different number. You may also want to take the step of reporting it to the police and trading standards, they are duty bound to investigate and will pay the company in question a visit. I’m sorry all of you have been ripped off, I now it’s not much consilation but you do have my thanks for stopping me having the same fate.

1i was also conned into this and i rang the helpline to cancel the order i have still received it but have cancellation numbers.i am going to be very mad if they continue to charge me. the free trial and a shipping of $1.95 actually cost £11.90!!!! i dont think that is right that they can con you!
Review by Jonathan Jenkins, November 26, 2009
0Please do not purchase the free trial at any cost this is a total SCAM where the company agrees to refund monies on cancellation providing you return the goods within 14 days. When items are returned within the agreed period they still continue and deduct from your account a monthly subscription of $87.62. This happened to me and although I have all documents in writing to prove that the product was returned and even speaking to their customer services to confirm that the terms and condition of the trial period have been met, they agree that they need to refund the money. However, when they try to refund the money they say their system will not allow them to do it. You are instructed to contact your Bank to get them to request the refund. The bank assures me there is no problem in getting the money refunded as they are totally in the wrong but it may take 2 to 3 weeks. I can now see this scam is a very clever way of raising working capital for them to use over a period of time. This money is at an interest free rate and when you think of the number of transactions carried out worldwide in one working day, they can generate a lot of money. The amount of money they end up refunding will be a small percentage when you think of the length/processes you have to go to to get your money back.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER INTO THIS AT ALL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE AN INTEREST FREE MONEY LENDER!

0I am kicking myself, I normally do my home work, I checked the product out but not the company. Big mistake..
I received the pills today, then tonight i have come across this website and I am horrified, I went into panic mode to say the least.
I have contacted my credit card company and cancelld my card and they have put a block on the account. So hopefully no further payments will be taken. I get a feeling that this isnt going to be the last I hear of this company. If it is then i will be one of the lucky ones, after reading the above comments, my heart goes out to you all.

030day FREE Trial my Arse!!!!!!!!
I have been told on the phone 0808 238 9830 that it is actually a 15day free trial and wait for it………the 15 days start from the day you order it not the day you receive it which they conveniently make sure is over a weeks delivery time. I have a cancellation number and hope it works as I am now already £150 out of pocket. They work under so many different names it is difficult to speak to anyone or know who is responsible for the fraud. “Trading Planet” “Getstronger” and “Beauty Sculpt” so far but believe there are more…..
I had to try the product to see if it agreed with me and it doesn’t. I have IBS and thought it would help but It has not. I feel such a fool and wish I had researched this before ordering.

0The weather is rubbish, and now I find I have been scammed… what a day. On the advice given so far, I decided to report my card as lost. It was a credit card, and the company have assured me that no-one will be able to charge that card ever again. To be on the safe side, I will likely cancel the credit card account altogether when the replacement comes through. And IF anything turns up on my doorstep, it will be refused (if possible) or taken straight down the post office to be returned. Even with the reassurance from the credit card company, I am still worried and feel a little sick – and of course, feel like a complete plank for letting myself get sucked in like this.
I am greatful to this Web site for giving others a chance to learn from our mistakes.

0Having also been conned, as well as phoning my bank to cancel the ‘order’ (will take 31days to implement) I read on this page a really useful comment from Tracy Moore. I too sent an email to support@viv3.com and the automated reply has a phone number 0808 238 989. I spoke to someone called Laura May who was very convincing, said she had cancelled my ‘order’ and gave me a cancellation number. I now wait to see if this has been effective.

0This company has taken 3 lots of £78.00 from my Barclaycard,I called credit card company who immediatly cancelled the card and re-embursed me the money back onto my account, I have never heard of these berry Pills and signed up for nothing, I called the number and a automated message came on with a countdown on it, god knows how much the call cost me as I have not had my bill in as yet, this is criminal, thankl goodness for the support of the credit company. Why on earth is a company like this getting away with this scam, it’s shock horror as I read the above stories I have emailed this company with no response, but how can i unsubscribe when I have never subscribed in the first place. It’s criminal and those people responsible who have stolen money will not prosper but will get themselves in deep deep trouble, what goes around comes around!

0was also scamed by these pigs, they tryed to take out 3 different amounts, under different names, on the same day, all amounting to £178.60. I was so angry, the security on my card kicked in, and luckily they blocked the payments. I also had a live web chat with them to have my so called membership cancelled (which i did not sign up for any way) they also told me that the pills you get on your free trial are not free and that if you send them back within the 14 days trial then you will not be billed for anything but after the free trial then you are billed for keping the pills, how then can this be a free trial if you get billed for the pills anyway.

0I think this fraudulent company has many guises, different names, and thousands of victims. I’ve had £75 deceitfully debited from my credit card account, notified the RBS credit card agency immediately in Southend who were not the most helpful or sympathetic. My free trial for post and package only was obviously a sprat to catch the mackerel. Also advised the Office of Fair Trading who ARE responding. Furious that Sky could be instrumental in facilitating this scam by allowing them advertising space on an otherwise reputable website but unable to obtain a Sky telephone number to alert them to it. Publicise this scam through every medium possible and hit back.

0The same scam has happened to me. I had paid for my samples using my debit visa card, then after a couple of weeks an unauthorized transaction tuck place on my account. I informed the bank that very same day. They canceled my card and issued me with a new on and also sent me a disclaimer form to fill-out so they could investigate the unauthorized transaction. I was surprised to learn that even after canceling my card a further unauthorized transaction tuck place. I rang the bank who informed me that they were powerless to stop such continues unauthorized transactions taking place. I enquired as to how the fraudsters could still continue to make unauthorized transaction on my account now that I have had a new card issued. The bank explained that the new card only has the last four digits changed and the first 12 digits are still the same. The fraudsters only need the first 12 digits of your card to carry out an unauthorized transaction (how stupid is that). The bank has assured me they will refund my account once I have filled in the disclaimer form. They will then send a cancelation request to the fraudsters to return my money if they do not return my money the bank will refund the money bank into my account from their own pocket. (who says banks are bad). I am not sure what protection other cards offer but you should be able to get your money back if it is an unauthorized fraudulent transaction.

0As I said in my other message I have cancelled my credit card so no more money has been taken.
I want people to know I have taken the tablets I was sent and I have not lost any weight, so I started ‘weight watchers’ last week and have lost 4lbs by eating nice food and not having to take any tables.
If you want to lose weight try ‘weight watchers’ or ‘slimming world’ (I lost 2 and 1/2 stone on this diet last year).
Looking on the net about the ‘purecleanse’ tablets and seeing what other people passed, I would like to say this is just a lie as none of this has happened, if anything they have stopped me losing weight!!

Like JoJo above i eventually got half my money back and stopped any payments coming through my account, DO NOT BUY from this company! With the Money i did get back i looked around at some other options to get the Acai berry. I found this site and then bought from Health Spark after seeing positive reviews. I got the product with in 3 days and am using it now. Have been using their Acai Extreme with my usual healthy diet for 2 months and lost just under a stone. For any one who has had the Acai NIGHTMARE but still wants to try the product to lose weight try Healthspark and if your not happy they offer a money back guarantee, you cant lose

0I was alerted to this scam by a friend who had been scammed. I signed up for what I thought was a Free 30 days trial and only discovered that further money had been taken when on her advice, I checked with my card supplier whom I informed that the monies taken were not authorised. Today it turns out that my card supplier could not stop any further monies being taken because their hands were tied because “I had entered into an agreement” with the supplier of the Free Trial. However as far as I was concerned I had never punched a button with I accept terms and conditions and only when I was unable to contact the company via phone and email could my card supplier block any further payments by informing Acai Berry/ Liver Cleanse’s bank. However it appears that I am liable for the £154.04 already taken from the account even though no product has been delivered. I am at a bit of a loss as to what the next move might be probably cancelling my card to be safe. I also erroneously believed that card suppliers were on the side of the consumer when dealing with dodgy suppliers, obviously not. Buyer Beware has to be my responsibility when buying anything on the net, which is a shame for all those who are not dishonest. The company did appear sound with address’s in Consett Co Durham and Dublin but when I researched them today I could only find company records for the Dublin address and nothing for the Consett address. NB there is no such thing as Free on the net so best we all be aware.

0have just found out about acaiburn free trial, had the free trial, and payed for shippng as they called it, but noticed that the invoice was from this country. did anyone else notice this? went to use my debit card, only to be refused this by my bank, later when i rang them to find out why this was, i was told that on 3 occasions had some different companys tryed to take out £178.60 from my account, and as a result of this my debit cards were frozen and cancelled thankfully, but i had to deal with the fraud investergation team side of my bank, which was soooooo frightening, i didn’t know what to say, it was horrible to deal with and wouldn’t wish it on any one. so all of you who have beeen scamed by these people, the main thing to do is cancel your cards and ask for new ones, that way they at least havent got your card details have they, to try and take more money out. by the way all my tablets went in the bin as i dont trust what could be in them. they could be god knows what in them. my advice to anyone is………CANCEL ALL CARDS AND THROW TABLETS IN THE BIN ………..

support@tradingplanetltd.com (they have always replied)
customer service number is 08082 389891
It appears that all of these tablets whoever is taking the money seem to come back to VIV3 in Scotland.
The bank told me that cancelling your card doesn’t stop these payments, they will continue. You have to contact the company and cancel your subscription.
If you have only just received your free trial, return the things immediately and email saying they have been returned and are not wanted.
don’t rely on the banks or the law to help you. get onto the company yourself and don’t give up.
Review by JoJo, November 2, 2009
0I too was scammed for over £300. I noticed two payments go out of my bank, tried to stop my card etc only to be told there was nothing they could do as it was a continuous subscription and it would take 31 days to fully cancel.
Unfortunately i had no details from the company and didn’t know how to contact them.
Thankfully i found this site and got hold of the customer service phone number. I rang immediately and cancelled my subscription.
I tried to complain to the bank who weren’t interested and ended up charging me for going over my limit when i’d already reported these payments. unbeleiveable!!
i emailed the company a few times stating that at no point had i been made aware of the terms, if i had i would have cancelled immediately.
I pointed out that the payments were unauthorised and i had never signed anything nor agreed to any payments, still they said i had agreed to the terms when i took out the free trial.
My mum found an article in a paper from the Money Expert Martin Lewis. I checked out his website and there is some good advice on there.
I HAVE HALF OF MY MONEY REFUNDED
i emailed the company again and stated that if they didn’t refund my money i would be taking my case to the Financial Ombudsman who will seek compensation of up to £10 per hour for the time spent and stress of trying to obtain a satisfactory conclusion. what do you know the same day i had a reply saying £140 had been credited to my account hoorah!!
i know its not the full amount but this has made me ill, sleepless nights, i’ve been worried sick how much more they would take so i am taking the refund as an end to my trauma and a horrid lesson learnt.
Please, all of you out there, don’t give up, don’t let them fob you off. keep at them, don’t get angry their emails are always polite but be persistant and quote things like the “financial ombudsman”, “compensation”, “unauthorised payments” and “treating customers fairly”. They soon get scared and want to shut you up.
Check out Martin Lewis website too:

0O.k everyone listen up!
I have been in touch with Trading Standards/Office of Fair Trading today and they advised me that even though I gave autherisation to pay for the P&P on my Visa Debit card (and the bank ‘Halifax’in this case) told me I was NOT covered legally)But that was not technically true because I did not authorise the other payments they took from my account after then so I am covered by the Visa protection called the Charge-back Process. This means you have to fill out a form with them at your local branch and then the bank will credit back all the money that was taken – that you did not authorise into your account(just temporarily) again whilst the bank investigates the company for the true authority to give it back to them.We all know that they will not be able to justify a legal right for an unauthorised amount paid back to them again!

1Discovered today that after subscibing to a free trial which cost me over £8.00 that the scumbags have charged me over £73 each (total £146+) for a further supply of Acai Berry supplement and colon cleanser which I have not yet received.
I rang them and finally got through to someone who was on a call site not in the UK who after telling me that I should have read the terms and conditions, gave me a cancellation number.
I then discovered this site and have cancelled my debit card so that they can’t take any more money from me.

1Hey People Close your bank account, i got their number through my bank to get my money bank i told them they had to put the money back into my account because i did not receive anything, then i threatened them with the police and said i had proof to take them to court, they soon put the money back in my account, then i closed my account 2 days after and guessed what they took more without asking and they won’t return the money in to any other accounts so be warned. The citizens advice bureau can advise you on where you stand legally. Close your account and keep hounding them to get your money back, be strong. Apparently acai berry actually is used to increase weight in Brazil. Pics are cheap and so are words!!!Don’t let me say i told you so….

1Same, same, same, I have lost £180 through my debit card account before it registered and cancelled it.
I feel totally appalled with everything, the scammers, myself for falling for it and the law for not protecting us from this fraud.
Has anybody out there who has been scammed got a real company address for mailing letters to. I’m going to take these ‘b******s’ to jail, if I can!
I did read an email from a one guy who did manage to get some money back from these people, sent him an email but he didn’t reply.
I totally agree that Trading Standards were no help but I did send my four registered letters to the shipping addresses that was on the postage & packaging on the parcels -in Bristol & Scotland but had no replies even though somebody is accepting and signing for the registered post there.
I am going to now pursue the Media(The Guurdian, The Daily Telegraph the Times etc who ran these adverts) they must have a trading companys name and address for those who advertise through them.

0This has terrified me, so I have rung my bank. £4+ has been taken out but nothing else. To give me peace of mind, I have also cancelled my debit card so that nothing can come out if they try, and I will send back what I (if anything) receive.
Review by stu, October 17, 2009
0How do you stop them from taking the money?? Can you just stop the direct debit from your account?

0Hi this is for RACHEL who emailed in on the 8th October, I ordered my acai from thermothinplus on the 4th October but am still waiting to receive them. As soon as I realised this was a scam it was too late, so I called my credit card company and told them I had lost my card and they have now cancelled it, so hopefully no more money can be taken. Have you received your acai yet?
Review by Jan, October 15, 2009
0This is a total scam. I do not even know how they got my account details! I viewed their website and then was scammed out of £90.00 gradually, sometimes in small amounts so that you don’t really notice and then larger amounts and I didn’t even receive any of their products. MSN needs to ban their adverts to prevent this happening. I eventually had to cancel my bank credit and get a new one. My bank informed me that this so called company was based in Cyprus. PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE ACAIBURN WEBSITE!!!

2I like all those before me tried the ‘free’ trial and only paid for the delivery…..so I thought. A company called CTT have taken £76.96 from my credit card account again like all others without my permission. It was also done in Singapore currency.
I have had to cancel my credit card so that no more money is taken and filled out forms to hopefully get this money back, don’t hold out much luck according to all the others who were caught out by these, really don’t know what to call them. PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS ”FREE” (SO CALLED) TRIAL.

0I’ve done the same, I feel so stupid, told by a very uncaring ‘Customer Service’ person at LiveLong that I’d signed to say I would have an account with them and should have cancelled within 15 days – but you cannot make contact with any of the companies that they ‘change’ to, emails bounce back, telephone numbers are short-term numbers, (that I can now buy, if I wish!!). I’ve changed my credit card with my bank, but even that may not stop this scam, as they change their names. £152 down at the moment, and at my wits end on how to stop this. How stupid can you get, just trying to improve my health, now I’ll probably ruin it for good worrying about this.

0Whatever you do DO NOT go for this, I’ve just noticed on my statement a charge of €165 for this and the free trial was only €3.99. I have contacted my bank regarding this and they will be sending out forms to prevent anymore payments coming on my card. It would appear that all affliated companies have your credit card details and can take payment when sending out free trials. As advised by my bank it supposidly says in the small print somewhere that charges will apply. Worst thing is they don’t even work!!!!

0Complete con in there blurb they state that to get any reasonable result you have to use the product for 3 months plus but then only give you 14 days to return the product for a refund.
This scam should be reported by all to TRADING STANDARDS. does anybody know the parent American company behind this, as I think people in the UK are only agents.
It clearly states free trial on the web site so most people feel that they will only be charged for future purchases. This is not the case you will be charged for the initial product THEREFORE IT COULD NEVER BE FREE.

0I too have been scammed through so called small print, however I have managed to do a live chat with a agent at acai burn and have cancelled all the sister companys of acai burn taking money out of my account. It did take me 3 attempts as they asked me to call a number first and I said can you do it now and they did. You do need to ask for a cancellation number or they will not give you one.The website is http://www.premiumacaislim.co./contactus.php. Good luck

0On 10th August ’09 I placed an order for a SUPPOSED wonderdrug called Acai Berry with http://www.acaiberryexclusive.com. I will immediately confess that I did not read the small print thoroughly enough. I since have suffered FOUR deductions totalling roughly £330 (£82 each time) from my credit card! I had unwittingly signed up to a continual supply of this product! It was only today (2nd October 2009) on receiving a package in the post, did I realise my mistake! I opened the parcel to discover a tub of acai berry pils and a bill for £82 (which had already been deducted nearly a week ago – along with the other payments!!!). I felt sick and, to be honest, cried as I can ill afford this! I immediately phoned the company (which has different names on each invoice! With the first invoice I was apparently dealing with TRADING PLANET LTD, whilst the second invoice I was dealing with HEALTHSCIENCE. I told the call centre person that I was recording the call. I asked for the name of the person I was speaking to and explained my predicament. I immediately cancelled my order with the company and was given a cancellation number. I asked about a refund and was told to expect an email regarding my refund in the next 2-3 days. I then asked to speak to a manager and the call centre person said he could not help me. He then hung up. I rang back and the next person told me I would not get a refund and then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. I immediately phoned back and, by chance, got the same woman. She hung up again. I phoned again and the next person again hung up on me. Each time I remained relatively calm and stated that I merely wanted to speak to a manager! Each time I recorded the conversation. The last person I spoke to told me I could not speak to a manager and just directed me to the website (www.acaiberryexclusive.com). I have put the whole thing down to stupidity on my part but I wish to warn others! PLEASE avoid this website as it is a complete scam! I do not want others to suffer such a financial loss as I did. I am a mature student and, as with most mature students, am financially struggling; so this has put a severe dent in my budget. The other thing I wish to mention is the refund policy. It states that ‘You’ may receive a refund up to 30 days after Your order. But they craftily did not bill me for the first order until the 27th September and then billed me for the next order the following day (28th September). What I am trying to get at is that I believe they deliberately left the billing of the first order until the second order was due so that I would not reminded in time to cancel the order! I hope this makes sense?! Please warn others! Catherine, Ireland.

0Wow! These guys are BAD NEWS!!
It’s a shame that AcaiBurn goes to such lengths to scam money off it’s customers when the product is actually good.
Like every one else I order the free trail and then started getting small charges on my credit card from an endless variety of names that I had never heard of or signed up for. So add these to the list of ones to watch because I bet these names change on a weekly basis:
VH Access, Heathmember, WebAccess, and MyDietPartner.com
I just spent over an hour on the Live Chat (https://www.acaiburnpremium.com/contactus.php) with an agent and FINALLY got her to cancel the “subscriptions” that I never signed up for but that me and everyone else is being charged for.
It’s madness because there was one, MyDietPartner.com, that she could not cancel and I will have to call up to see if I can get canceled. Why?! Why can she cancel all but this one? I never wanted anything to do with this “affiliate”. I never wanted anything to do with ANY of this scam-sites fraudulent “affiliates”
When I asked her just what I am supposed to be receiving for all these charges, she had no idea.
But she did give me some phone numbers to call and who knows they might even work. So I’ll see tomorrow when I try to get me money back!
Shame on this company for destroying the credibility of a decent product!

0Cannot contact anyone at Acaiburn Company. ‘Phone numbers I have been given are ‘out of order’. It is a complete scam! Received so-clalled ‘free’ trial and was charged in excess of the amount quoted for international shipping. Was also informed my account would be debited each and every month with $49 for further supplies which I neither ordered nor wanted. Told them to cancel immediately but have found my account has still been debited with other amounts from some of
their associated companies for which I have received nothing in return. Have had a load of trouble contacting the companies involved to cancel but am still not confident that they have followed by instructions. Credit Card Company says I must show proof of cancellation before they can stop or recall payments. Apparently I should have read Acaiburn’s terms and conditions before even requesting a free sample. I wish I had never heard of them! I still need a contact number for their Customer Services. Can anyone help with this?

1Send support@viv3.com an email that clearly states in the subject box cancellation of both MEMBERSHIP & PRODUCT RELATING TO whatever product you subscribed to…..
Viv3 will return an automated email – respond again but put the reference number in the subject box too this time with the original text and keep this string for your own records. Viv3 will deny links with other companies but they are one in the same and work from the same office in West Lothian.
Yesterday I got a positive response from Viv3 offering me a refund on receipt of the email below
IMMEDIATE REFUND OR LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN – FW: [#BGI-592387]: Cancel and return acai burn trial
I have just spoken to ‘Percy’ on your not too helpful cancellation helpdesk and he put the phone down on me.
You will see from the email below that I have an email that you have acknowledged and confirmed the cancellation of both my membership and product supply of both Life Cleanse and Acai Burn (note the header for Acai Burn and your ref number) Since then you have continued to extract money from my account through various compainies that all link back to Viv3 e.g. Healthmember, VH Access, Wellbhealth and most recently Elite Acai and Easy Kit.
I would like you to respond to this email and refund all monies to my account from the 3rd of Aug.
I await your action and immediate response.
I have instructed my credit card company to no longer allow any transactions to be debited to my account and to proceed with a formal claim for a refund of those transactions dated 18th Aug and 2nd September.
I sent it to support@viv3.com and copied it to the following support@acaiburn.com and clay.douglass@viveraglobal.com; hostmaster@viveraglobal.com; mitch.platt@localbillinglimited.com
I responded with:
Dear Viv3 Customer Services
Thank you for your immediate response on receipt of my last email.
From your response I understand that you have:
1. cancelled my membership with regard to the Life Cleanse and Acai Burn product from today 18th September 2009
2. cancelled any further deliveries of the above product from today 18th September 2009
3. nor will you or any of your associated companies will approach my credit card company and use my credit card details in an attempt to debit my account with either membership or product costs.
If I have understood Viv3 correctly and receive an email of confirmation from Viv3 stating such I will accept the offer of the refund with the condition this is processed immediately. Until this is completed the status of this complaint will remain open.
I now wait to see if the money appears in my account and if any other ‘associates’ try and debit my account around 2nd Oct. To be honest I have lost about £170 but I shall be so relieved just to stop Viv3 and associates from debiting my account any further.
Good luck

0Cancelled my “free ” trial, sending the pills straight back after i read about the scam on the net. My card company phoned to tell me Acaiburn were trying to take money out and put a block on them. When I complained to Acaiburn they said I needed to wait to hear from the warehouse in Bedford…who have no telephone number!
I have heard no more until this morning my card company phoned to say another company was trying to remove small amounts eg, £1.97 and £4.35 and we discovered this was Acaiburn using several other names for these so called health checks and web bonuses. I am waiting to cancel these having been given the phone numbers.
I, too have just written to Watchdog so hopefully “Annie” will flag it up.

1Hi,
I signed up for the 14 day free trial using the debit card for my current account to pay for the shipping which shot up from $4.99 to $14.99 after I had put my card details in. This was stated on the page in tiny print I later realised! Then after the pills arrived I fell upon one of these web sites, in panick I made them cancel the agreement but they said I had to pay for the months tablets, I said I would said send them back, they said makes no odds it is in our terms and conditions, true enough in tiny print it is stated on the page! I cancelled the 3 months tablets they were about to send thank god! I have been charged by them £48 and I have another couple of companys taken a couple of pounds each out of my bank account each month, I have recieved nothing from these companies! I am going to close my bank account and open another one as it is the only way to stop the thieving, cheating, missleading, fraudalent Acai Burn!

1I sent for free tablets although I received a bill for £9.13. I went
along with that thinking that I might be mistaken. The pills were for
my wife who in 3 weeks is still roughly the same weight. I did not
intend ordering more because of this. However, this morning I received
a call from my bank regarding possible fraudulent activity on my
account. The bank had received, from Germany, a withdrawal(?) of
£50.30 from my bank. I don’t know how the system works but I can
certainly not afford amounts such as this as I am a pensioner.. I
can’t believe this has happened. I read on the internet about some odd
goings-on regarding the company. I realise that there may have been
some indication in the small print but I have poor eyesight and was
unaware of it.

I’m having the same problem – I asked for the trial cos of £4.99 and had money taken ou of my account which I asked to be refunded which I’ve had when I sent the products back. I also noticed some small amounts of other being taken out of my account. When I spoke to them about it they told me that in the terms and condition I agreed to sign up with some other companies; one being Insider Secret whom I rang and they cancel that membership. There are another 2 transactions coming out of my account which I need to cancel but I have no telephone numbers for these so each month these amounts will be coming out of my account. In theory I am paying these money for nothing as I’ve nothing come in the post since – this is a nightmare!
